Salt Shakers Student Drama is a ministry of Colonial Homeschoolers that provides students ages 12 and up the opportunity to learn drama techniques, to develop leadership skills, and to prepare for a performance that shares the gospel and Biblical principles for living out in the community. As a drama group, it is important that our students have opportunities to expand and explore various skills relating to theater, like improvisation, characterization, body language and communication, collaboration and teamwork, mannerisms, expressions, blocking, stage directions, and many more. As Salt Shakers, it is important that our students make the connection of using those drama skills to communicate the gospel and Biblical principles for living to the lost in our community. Salt Shakers Student Drama has had the opportunity to share the gospel in local public elementary schools, retirement homes in Cary and Fuquay-Varina, Falcon Children’s Home, and UNC Children’s Hospital. The directors for Salt Shakers Student Drama are Missy Meece (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Amanda Thompson (email@example.com) .
