Spanish I is an introductory course that has no prerequisite. Students will acquire basic vocabulary and grammatical structures for interpersonal communication. The course is designed to provide grammar structures and essential vocabulary needed to communicate in everyday life. Students will have access to various interactive materials to practice their skills. A variety of techniques will be used to develop competency in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing at the beginning level. Cultural information will be integrated throughout the course. There is a $20 materials fee which is payable by check to the instructor at orientation. Students will not need to purchase a workbook.
Colleges require a minimum of 2 years of the same language for admissions to college.
